New Era Comes In!

Tonight marks a new era for the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Vegas. In just a few hours Bette Midler will take the stage for the first time and will take over for Celine Dion who left in December.

Bette's show titled A Showgirl Must Go On! will reflect many of the soundtracks to her movies. Her films have definitely always been over the top and her show in Las Vegas will be no different. Expect music, comedy, big sets and more!

Celine Back in Vegas???

Celine Dion ended her 5 year run in Las Vegas in December 2007 and will start a world tour next month. But it seems like Celine and her husband / manager Rene Angelil love Las Vegas. He was just seen playing poker at the Bellagio poker room last week, and unlike Leo DiCaprio, Rene is nice with the cashiers and tips very nicely.

Word around Dion and her husband says that they are keeping their home in Las Vegas as well as their Florida home. Several people have tipped me off stating that Dion is in talks to return to the Colesseum at Caesars Palace after her World tour for an all new show... Could this be true? Will we see a Taking Chances show in Las Vegas? We'll have to wait and see... but it's a very good possibility!

Celine Dion Flipped You off?

Celine Dion just ended her 5 year run in Las Vegas and I have a story you may not have heard before.

A former sound tech for Celine and a best friend to a sound tech guy who worked on Celine's show for the last 5 years shared this candid story of the singing Diva. "She's one of the boys, after all she grew up with a lot of boys in her family. Every night before going on stage Celine would flip off one of the sound guys off." "It became an inside joke and a kind of good luck charm per say before every show."

I guess the finger isn't so bad afterall... if it's coming from Ms Dion!
